RESEARCH INTERESTS
Sebastian is focused on the use of egocentric video processing for the estimation of internal emotional state of a person wearing personal FPV device. His work has been driven by interests in intelligence, the emergence of complex behaviors and the recognition of patterns in human activities, as well as the application of these to the development of more natural ways of interaction and collaborative learning between humans and machines.
CURRICULUM VITAE
Sebastian has focused on topics of AI and the development of models of cognition and conceptual representations. He has worked and carried out research with psychologists on evaluating and enhancing experiences through understanding, modeling and predicting human behaviors. He received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Electronics engineering in 2009 from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. He obtained his degree of Master of Sciences in Intelligent Systems Design in 2012 form Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. Since October 2014 he is a PhD student of the Erasmus Mundus EMJD-ICE PhD program with the University of Genoa, Italy, as his primary institution.
